Puerto Madryn, is located in the province of Chubut (Argentina), on the shores of Golfo Nuevo and at the foot of the arid Patagonian plateau.
Founded in 1865 by Welsh settlers, is a resort of great importance, since it is the gateway to the Valdes Peninsula.
Surrounded by hills and dunes, its boardwalk and asphalt roads make it a modern city.
Puerto Madryn received between May and December to the southern right whale returning to the area each year to mate and procreate. Besides cormorants, gulls, sea lions and Magellanic penguins (Spheniscus magellanicus) to migrate because they can not tolerate the cold Antarctic winter.

Whales
